We make all our divan bases ourselves, using pre-cut and finished timber component parts. The workmanship comes closer to the level of making a piece of cabinet furniture. Every joint is screwed and glued.

Every drawer is individually fitted. Our divan bases are finished with a special rope trimmed buffer bar, which, as well as looking good, actually protects the bottom edge of the base from damage.

All Spink & Edgar bases come in two halves, mostly split from East to West across the middle (with the exception of beds 180cm or more wide, which are split from North to South). To join the bases together we use a special linking mechanism, which is sturdy and easy to operate but, unlike other unsightly link view.
